8 weeks and counting~

Today we've reached our 8 week mark! yeah...only 4 more to be out of our first trimester :) The baby is the size of a kidney bean but to me already feels like a grapefruit or even a watermelon!
I have been able to get a handle on my sour stomach, nausea feeling but there are of course some days that nothing sounds good to me :(
I made a little error on a few posts back. Greg doesn't have a new job yet, he was interviewing for one. I of course am hopeful he"ll get it! He is having his second interview today so 'PRAYER POWER' !!
A big change I've noticed are HORMONES!!! OMG, I cry at a drop of a hat and poor Greg doesn't know what to say or do-ha-ha..The other day I freaked out because he finished off the bag of my favorite potato chips (they help with indigestion:) and I was in such a distraught that he ran out and bought a brand new (larger) bag for us at 9'oclock at night! When he offered them to me I said, "thank you but I just want them in case I feel sick." :) He didn't get mad, just kissed my forehead and kissed my belly and told little booby (nickname for baby) to not make mama so crazy. Ha-Ha :) ahhh the memories!
Another thing that I've noticed is more and more ADVICE women have that have given birth! OMG, especially the seasoned moms out there, god bless you! I have so many suggestions for indigestion, headaches, comfort, sleep, exercise, sanity ect. ect., I mostly smile and just listen but know it's too much for me to take in and will really only listen to my Doctor :)
Other than that, I am still exercising-30min walks and a light total body strength regimen. I am still taking clients and have picked up two this week!
So I am still trying to live as 'normal' as possible and not think so much of the changes going on inside me until I am forced to: nap, sleep ect, ect..
We go back to meet our OBGYN in 2 weeks so more updates will happen then!

First OBGYN visit...

Well, I have to admit that I was unsettled going into out first appt. Luckily Greg took the whole day off to be there for us and comfort me the whole way through :)
I have been having a really bad cramp (bruise feeling) on my left side and I just knew something was going to be wrong but in the end Mama and baby are in tip top shape!
Why did I doubt it?? ha-ha.
Well, I know that isn't going to be the last of my fears but I will try to keep them to a minimum for my sanity and especially Greg's ;)
We were able to see our little nugget and see the heart beat and it was amazing! I feel more like a mom now and have taken steps to be more conscious of what I eat, drink and even how I feel. Everything is focused on making baby as healthy and strong as possible!!
I have to give a lot of credit to my fabulous hubby! He was so supportive and loving through the whole day and is taking huge steps to make sure our new little family is going to be safe and secured :)
He purchased a daddy car and got rid of the Charger last week and has not one regret over it! I am still trying to stay active but most days are filled with small bouts of energy and naps :)
We are enjoying this alone time we have before it's interrupted but very much welcomed by diaper changes, nursing, crying, burping, spit ect..
Funny how all those gross things turn into enjoyable, cute times with your baby..huh? oh well, I never thought this would be me but it is and I love it!
We go back in 3 weeks so please stay tuned and maybe a baby bump photo will follow :)
In the meantime enjoy the little sweet pea's first photo!

Heartburn, headache, fatigue...oh my!

Ha-ha! Well, 6 weeks definitely marks the new changes my body is going thru! This week I am feeling heartburn everyday and a slight headache ugh :(
I'm not really taking anything other than children tylenol, and benadryl (1/2 a pill) if I can't take it anymore. i am sleeping 2-3x a day,I guess that's a God sent for having my own business!!
Greg is interviewing today for a new job that makes more $$!! Yay! We feel very blessed and even though it is definitely stressful thinking about making it all work, we are so in love with our little miracle we know it's worth it :)
I made my first video diary but it is taking WAY to long to upload and I got things to do while my body has an ounce of energy ;)
Maybe next time!!

Eating for 2 and then some!

Today marks my 5th week as a new mommie to be! Yippee! Still no nausea and still no tender boobies, although the new fullness of them is very welcomed! ha-ha, haven't ever had them this size before! Now I understand my clients who didn't like jumping around in class bc of their breast getting in the way-ha-ha!
I haven't gained much but I am at an all time high....137lbs and a size 8!
I haven't been this size since college! I am embracing it and Greg keeps reminding me, "You are pregnant, and it's all baby weight" ahhh, whatever, I still feel like a sausage roll :)
No weird cravings either, but I do indulge in a cheeseburger and fries and my favorite, strawberry milkshake once a week..mamas gotta have it :)
This is definitely unexplored territory and I just can't wait to get to the Dr. visit (1.5 more weeks) to find out what all the rules are.
I am walking everyday and I am lifting weights 2-3x per week.
I am not anxious to lose weight ofcourse but I don't want to be sedentary. Anyway, Greg and I went and ran the track and at a local middle school and I just kept looking across the street at the yogurt shop ;)
It didn't take much arm twisting to get him to take me over there after our 'Jog' on the track.
I got a strawberry gelato and Greg got blueberry ice cream with GUMMY BEARS!!! I was like, "Who is the preggers here?!?!" oh, my husband...the ultimate child at heart :)
Well, I will update if any crazy, new, changes happen but thats about it for now...
Stay tuned for next week: Gormley baby bump update!
