week 12 and onto 2nd Trimester!!

Hurray!! We survived the first trimester and now onto some much needed relief...ahhh,,,
I took this pic this morning to try out my new digs I got at 'a pea in a pod', finally comfy clothes! :)
Life is good, Greg and I are trying to make things happen for our little family and even though we get SUPER frustrated with our efforts not showing results...we hug the belly and know GOD is with us.
A lot has actually happened since my last post ( a week ago?!?).
I was really falling short in my prayer power, just pissed Greg's job is taking advantage of him but we need the insurance, we've both been applying to all kinds of jobs all around Austin and even in California!
I decided to apply to GIS positions and go back to work at an engineering firm (which I swore I would never do again) but it's worth the sacrifice and this is a time to be purely unselfish.
I did apply to engineering firms in San Luis Obispo, Ca and did get a response from one firm! They said they were impressed by my resume and they are strongly perusing an airport mapping project (that would be several years of work), and when I am in town to call them and they want to take me to lunch! Super cool!!
Uh, but how the heck am I gonna fly out to SLO? Well, we shall see what fate brings...they would want to fill the position by the fall (Sept-Oct, they don't know I'm prego) and I can scrounge up airfair by then.
The thing is...I'm pregnant, we need insurance oh yea and my husband needs a job there too so we can both survive :)
Well, anything that has to do with California seems like a distant dream to me because of the obstacles in play and I am slowly facing the sad reality that I may never go back..BUT if I don't where do we want to be?
Greg has applied around SA, and recently Bryan ;) I also applied to a survey mapping firm in Bryan it's no California but it's a needed change..
So not a lot about baby!! sorry :) Well, on a more positive note, I decided to go back to my highschool stomping grounds..THE MALL ha-ha!
I am still personal training but we could use a little ( A LOT) extra. I interviewed at A pea in a pod, figure it's the best place for me since I can relate ;)
Another positive is we are moving out at the end of the month and moving into our own 'compound' at the end of the month! Let the savings begin!! Greg and I have a lot of hopes and dreams for our little family. If this beginning is the worst of it all then we have a GRANDE future!
As for little baby-he/she has moved up above the pelvic area and growing like a weed! I am hoping to get gender results early and suprise Greg on his b-day...more on that to come!
Well god bless and bye for now...

Week Eleven...Is that Secretariat??

Hi All! Today was a very exiting day as we got to hear the baby's growing heart beat again :)
At first the nurse had trouble finding it, but I wasn't worried, we were all patient until the little person decided to reveal itself and then....WOW!! I think we have a triple crown! ha-ha! Well the nurse said, " The baby keeps moving around a lot ?!" I said, "Why am I not suprised and looked over at my wonderful hubby, Greg and smiled.", Then she said, "You have a jumping bean!" ha-ha!
Right now 160 beats a minute is what was clocked. The OBGYN Doctor came in, (whom we met for the first time), no hand shake but a huge hug and a congrats! that's nice :)
She reassured me of A LOT of things Greg and I had questions about. First off, I've gained enough weight for now :) she said I can slow down my eating ( I was indulging bc of the headache instances) and not force any unnecessary calories. What? me on a diet? Thats UNHEARD OF! I am at 150lbs and she said a lot of that is water weight, THANK YOU JESUS! the baby only weighs a little over an ounce.
Anyway, Once I hit 20 weeks, all bets are off and I'm on food frenzy mode again,
just in time for the holidays :)
Another piece of helpful advise was to buy a purifier. My allergies are in overdrive and since I live in  the allergy capital of the world, I am finding it hard to sleep peacefully without needing to blow my nose..ugh.

All in all, I am in  PERFECT HEALTH! My blood work came back perfect, blood pressure perfect, and my little one is of course perfect! I couldn't be more grateful for this beautiful gift....
The first Trimester is ALMOST over Yippee, one week to go! We go back in 4 weeks.

The due date is Jan. 4th, however the Dr. said for first babies, the delivery is sometimes later....you never know, one of you might have to share your b-day :)
Till next time~

10 weeks: Baby Bump Pictures and more!!!!!!!!

Okay, Okay, so here is the first baby bump image! I'm obviously trying to still pose like a bikini model...ha-ha! and my client is hilarious and a sport to pose with me :)
Life for week 10 has been great! We have survived the dreadful headaches and dizzy spells, I'm eating more! and Greg is turning into my 'Super Husband'

Last night after a LOOOONG day at the gym and hating this Texas heat, all I wanted to do was hit the pillow and sleep! Greg went to go play tennis and I didn't mind bc I wasn't gonna be much for conversation...
He must of read a baby book (which he does every week :)) because I came home to a nice home cooked meal! and HEALTHY!!!!

Yep! My hubby really made that yummy healthy meal :) I taught him well.....
My belly seems to be growing at a rapid pace these days and all I really can complain about this week is my sleeping positions :( I just cant seem to find a comfortable position for me and little boobie... I placed a pillow on my right side bc my nurse told me that I need to sleep on my left which absolutely s*cks because that's where all my injuries are! Oh well, anything to make sure this baby is healthy and strong.  I am thinking of investing in a body prego pillow that goes all the way around your body, life a noodle but don't know if it will be comfortable. Anyway, I'm seeing that 2nd trimester light, only 2 weeks to go! woohoo!!
Oh and Greg and I have decided NOT TO FIND OUT THE SEX OF THE BABY!!! So, this little kiddo is gonna be a surprise for everyone :)
Well, that's it from the Baby Gormley household and one last photo:
This is with my older sister Lisa, I find this hilarious because not only am I growing out, I am also growing taller!! ha-ha! lol.
God Bless.... In Baby Health,

The twilight zone...starring Baby Gormley :)

Well, I am officially 9 weeks and counting! Actually 9 and a half :)
I read this is the last week of the EMBRYONIC stage and I officially enter the FETAL stage...my baby is already growing up sooo fast ;)
I had, as a new pregnant mom, a scare this week...Tues: I was browsing at Marshalls because I really need some shorts that FIT ME! and the floor started to move! OMG! I'm not in California so I know it's not an earthquake! I had to hold onto a rack and compose myself. I made it to the checkout (priorities) and drove home, 2 miles away.
I rested for at least an our then headed to gym to meet a client. I also did a short workout while waiting for her to get there :) That evening Greg came home to find me in bed in agony with leg cramps, an upset stomach and a really, really bad headache :(
the next day I woke up feeling fine and went to start my day at the gym with my 6:30am client, I had a 30min. break and ran and got some oj and a taco :) then trained some more, needless to say I didn't get to eat again until over 4 hours later, which I KNOW IS BIG NO-NO, I preach it ALL THE TIME!
That night, Headache, but this time...I was sooo dizzy I had to hold the walls to walk from my bedroom to the dining area. Greg was home with me and made sure I was ok. I've been taking tylenol but no relief :(
That night I took 1/2 a benadryl thinking it might be allergies. It made things worse! I woke up with a bloody nose and my head was pounding uncontrollably! Greg helped me take care of my nose and massaged my head but needless to say, I was miserable again :(
The next morning Greg had to leave for work and I got up to meet my first client. I was still disoriented but just decided to power through it and call my Dr. when I was done. I called the nurse from my Dr. office and she asked me to come in right away. That made me nervous, "why don't they just prescribe me something? Why do I have to drive all the way to the Dr. office...ugh!" Well, my dad drove me (Greg offered but I was closer S. at this point) and I saw the nurse practitioner.
Diagnosis: EAT MORE FOOD AND DRINK MORE FLUIDS! What?!?!?!?!?
Seriously lady? do you know who you are talking too? I have been counting everything that goes into my mouth for years and you're saying its not enough? They did weigh me and I haven't gained much weight since my last visit which isn't bad or good?
I felt like I was definitely in the twilight zone! Everything that I know about my (pre-prego) body was foreign to me! She even said, "even if it's fast food, just eat!" OMG! how can you say that?!?! ha-ha! This would be all my clients DREAM ADVICE, I wouldn't dare tell them Ive been ordered to eat more, even fast food!?
Your talking to Miss Clean Eating Queen! Yes, Yes, I have eaten pizza and the occasional burger but lately I haven;t been able to stomach even a grape! I started thinking long and hard about this new frontier starring Baby Gormley. I started thinking how Baby Gormley is in charge now and I am just the vessel to keep him/her safe, healthy and strong. One of the reasons I wanted to be pregnant was because, Greg and I both agreed we are ready to make our life more than just bout us and here is where it definitely begins :)
So every sacrificial bite of ice cream, chicken nuggets, chips and queso, and pineapple upside down cake has purpose! ha-ha!
Of course I will still have my Broccoli, egg whites, brown rice and oatmeal but this is the Twilight Zone for me and the star is Baby Gormley :)
I do have a photo to upload but will have to do it next time or later on facebook...Stay tuned! Oh and I was prescribed a stronger med for tension headaches that is baby friendly and it seems to work! So, I am feeling relief and I am EATING!
