There has been so many changes since I started this pregnancy and the biggest one (aside from the peanut being born) is coming up really fast!
Greg and I and 'peanut' are moving to San Luis Obispo,Ca next week!
We couldn't be happier and full of positive outlook and faith :)
A lot of people ask (I know its all out of love), "How are ya'll going to take care of a baby and work?" Well, we are going to do it just like every other parent and either provide baby care or take care of her ourselves. To some people this is a sudden, drastic change but little do they know we have been planning, saving and talking about it for 2 years! The baby girl is our number one priority of course and we feel we are going to be able to provide the BEST life for her at our new little town and home.
Our first baby shower is this Sat. and I can't wait to see everyone! I am really just happy to share the day with friends, family and kids...they make it sooo special! I am sure the baby will be kicking up a storm because she seems to kick up a storm whenever I'm in a crowd...She's a social butterfly like her daddy ;)
I hope to post pics in the next 2 weeks so please stay tuned! Much love and god bless,
Alma and baby girl Gormley~

Texan or California Girl????!???!?!?!
24 weeks (6months) Woohooo, and Yee Haw!! This little girl has been on a whirl wind trip the past 5 days!
Greg and I left to San Luis Obispo, Ca last Thursday to go for an interview he had. Everyone who knew about it I guess was on pins and needles because his phone would not stop ringing with family asking how it went...good grief! :)
Of course it went well, my husband knows how to give a good impression, he won me over! ha-ha
Anyway, we are ready to make our move and we are ready to make our family in California. This baby girl was kicking sooo much while in California. I took a Groove class, which was hilarious because my balance was off and my hips just don't shimmy like Shakira like they used to!After about 20minutes I called it quits and went out to the lobby and had a smoothy....nice :)
The fresh ocean breeze was so comforting and amazing...we also went to the Mission and attended mass, gave our thanks and prayed, prayed, prayed! AMEN!
Our friends there are beyond words...they are so incredibly gracious that they are truly a second family to
us : )
Greg finally felt the baby move and it was incredible..She likes to hang out around my left side of my belly button and as my mom put it, it's a peep hole ;) ha-ha..
Once she is sleeping she sinks down to the lower part of my belly and it feels more like a sack of potatoes now! All in all we fall more and more in love with her and just can't wait to meet this little girl who is already changing our lives for the better!
Well, as much as our Texas family would want us to stay, we have to follow our hearts and if this trip reinforces anything it is our love for California, the ocean and the big pay offs for hard work! We definitely want to have a new chapter in our lives with our new little family with a beach front view :)
Save the date! Invites have been sent out for Oct. 1 (in Texas) for our first baby shower..the next one will be in California shortly after we move, which we anticipate to be first week of Oct.
Greg is ready, I'm ready and we are very supportive of each other and our decisions!
Well, that's it for now...mama and baby Gormley are healthy and doing very well! Now we just have to get out of this Texas heat!
Love and God Bless,
Alma and Baby Girl Gormley ;)

Week 21!!
Hi all, time for my weekly update...
Little baby girl is growing perfectly; healthy and strong just like mama and papa :)
I am starting to feel her kicks a bit more, her little flutters are turning into soccer goals!! She's definitely a Gormley ;) Greg and I are extremely excited and even though we don't have any idea yet where our little family will be when she decides to make her big debut we stay strong in our faith that everything is going to be GREAT!
We are making a trip to California again, this time Greg has a great job opportunity that does offer benefits! If all goes well.....No more messing around, we will MOVE! I am so grateful for the time and relationships I formed while living in Cali. It taught me alot about people and even more about myself! All our family is in Texas but my heart is in California and that is where I dream to raise my beautiful baby girl. That is where I want our family to strive and succeed, it is not impossible!
I see it this way; What a beautiful place for our Texas family to visit us!! It is truly a piece of heaven :)
Ok, ok...enough of my dream talk! Back to baby! She weighs about 12 ounces now and i can feel every bit of it, like I ate an entire loaf of bread!
I had to cut back on hours at the mall because of all the aches and pains of standing for 5 plus hours straight. Usually I fight through my pain. I've taught classes with a bad foot, shoulder, back ect. and just pushed my body through all sorts of endurance! Obviously this is different, know that I have seen her inside me and can definitely feel her, I listen to her when she tells mama to take it easy ;)
Well, My husband is the BEST!!! helping me everyday with no complaints..We are definitely looking forward to our next California visit and definitely escaping these 100+ temps!! yuck!
Oh, last thing...since our plans are unknown I am not sure when the best time for a baby shower in Texas will be? Once Greg and I get back from this trip I will have a better handle of that...but we have managed to register at POTTERY BARN FOR KIDS, and plan to register at Babies R US this weekend :)
Love and God bless,
Alma and Baby Girl Gormley

Sugar and Spice and everything nice!
Well yesterday was a big hit! Greg and I went to our Ultrasound appointment and looked at the anatomy of the baby from top to bottom ;)
We had so much anticipation to find out if my little passenger is a boy or girl! It was such a treasured moment :) Later that day I made my cake for the 'Cake Revealing Party'. I was laughing at myself because the cake looked like a 6 year old made it but it was my first try, and I was sooo proud of it because it was for my baby :)
A quick note- I misplaced the connection to my camera that allows me to download pictures and video so I won't be able to post any until I find it- sorry :(
Anyway, the party was a hit! We all gathered around the table and each one of my older nieces and nephews held a plastic knife ready to dive into that cake! On the count of 3 they sliced the cake and pulled out their knife and viola'- IT WAS PINK! ha-ha :)
A little girl is who we are waiting on and mama and papa couldn't be happier! of course papa did make the ultrasound technician verify the gender 3 times before he accepted the verdict it was a girl! He agreed that she can make it to Wimbledon too! ha-ha :) Well, I really wish I had pictures to show you but soon I will and of course now is time to plan for the baby shower!! woohoo!! party time!

Week 19 and going strong!
Hi all!!
A lot has happened since our last blog, sorry its been a while but we've been a busy bunch :)
I flew out to California on an impromptu visit and job interview. Greg and I are really trying hard to find a new path to plan for our family and we pray everyday to be led in the right direction. Well, it was so wonderful to escape the Texas heat and see friends in California and just motivated me even more to make our dreams of raising a family there come true! We are planning to go back in Sept. for another visit and more networking and this time get Greg in front of people! Enough about us....Baby Gormley is growing so fast! I feel like a umpa loompa these days and I am told I am just going to get bigger!! ha-Ha! I try to go for walks when it's not a scorching 105 degrees but most days me and baby are either working at the mall-which has nice AC :) or at gym training clients, home reading, playing with nieces and nephews or hunting for jobs online.. oh and lets not forget NAPPING! I don't know how working mom's with kids can do it while being pregnant?!?! Shout out to my sis-in-law Amy whose 5 weeks ahead of me with her 3rd and still working fulltime...You go MAMA!! :)
We are planning our big day next wed. the 17th; A "Cake Revealing Party"! No, no one is popping out of a cake- ha-ha! but we will be having a sonogram that day and hope the little stinker will cooperate and let us find out if we can start saying he or she ;)
Oh, I did feel the baby move! It actually made me laugh because it was tickling me. I got up and all of a sudden I felt like there were tiny little hands tickling me back and forth under my belly button from the inside! I called out to my niece Riley who was in the next room and she could feel little kicks! ha-ha! We have a JUMPING BEAN! Greg and I have been talking to the baby and I placed my ipod for baby to listen to in hopes we get some movement, we haven't felt anything since :(
Our big 20 week check up is next week and that will be a BIG update! I will try to upload some pictures of our Cake Revealing Party and make the big announcement!! of course the name will stay anonymous but feel free to tell us what names you like, you never know, you might have guessed it?
Love and God Bless,
Alma and Baby Gormley

Baby Beats!
Its been almost one month since I've posted anything! But we had a lot going on this last month and still busy as bees!! Baby is at 16 weeks today! YAY and we just scheduled our Ultrasound to find out if it's a boy or girl and then the real anticipation begins!! :) I was fortunate enough to be able to record my last visit and record the heart beat. he/she must have been asleep bc the first time I heard it it was much faster! This recording is 140bpm.
Life is up in the air to say the least! Greg and I are still looking for career changes and I am going to see about a job possibility on Monday :) Very exciting but also very stressful, knowing we have this HUGE responsibility come January and our life changes has a deadline..Yikes!
I strongly feel wherever we end up, it is the best place for us and our new family :)
Short and sweet! Till next time...
Love,
Alma and baby Gormley xoxo
p.s. enjoy the baby beats!

week 12 and onto 2nd Trimester!!
Hurray!! We survived the first trimester and now onto some much needed relief...ahhh,,,
I took this pic this morning to try out my new digs I got at 'a pea in a pod', finally comfy clothes! :)
Life is good, Greg and I are trying to make things happen for our little family and even though we get SUPER frustrated with our efforts not showing results...we hug the belly and know GOD is with us.
A lot has actually happened since my last post ( a week ago?!?).
I was really falling short in my prayer power, just pissed Greg's job is taking advantage of him but we need the insurance, we've both been applying to all kinds of jobs all around Austin and even in California!
I decided to apply to GIS positions and go back to work at an engineering firm (which I swore I would never do again) but it's worth the sacrifice and this is a time to be purely unselfish.
I did apply to engineering firms in San Luis Obispo, Ca and did get a response from one firm! They said they were impressed by my resume and they are strongly perusing an airport mapping project (that would be several years of work), and when I am in town to call them and they want to take me to lunch! Super cool!!
Uh, but how the heck am I gonna fly out to SLO? Well, we shall see what fate brings...they would want to fill the position by the fall (Sept-Oct, they don't know I'm prego) and I can scrounge up airfair by then.
The thing is...I'm pregnant, we need insurance oh yea and my husband needs a job there too so we can both survive :)
Well, anything that has to do with California seems like a distant dream to me because of the obstacles in play and I am slowly facing the sad reality that I may never go back..BUT if I don't where do we want to be?
Greg has applied around SA, and recently Bryan ;) I also applied to a survey mapping firm in Bryan it's no California but it's a needed change..
So not a lot about baby!! sorry :) Well, on a more positive note, I decided to go back to my highschool stomping grounds..THE MALL ha-ha!
I am still personal training but we could use a little ( A LOT) extra. I interviewed at A pea in a pod, figure it's the best place for me since I can relate ;)
Another positive is we are moving out at the end of the month and moving into our own 'compound' at the end of the month! Let the savings begin!! Greg and I have a lot of hopes and dreams for our little family. If this beginning is the worst of it all then we have a GRANDE future!
As for little baby-he/she has moved up above the pelvic area and growing like a weed! I am hoping to get gender results early and suprise Greg on his b-day...more on that to come!
Well god bless and bye for now...
In Baby Health,
Alma and Baby Gormley
p.s. I love this pic of papa...this says it all-"We will conquer!"
